Meet Mrs. Jessica
I am thrilled to be one of your child’s teachers! We are sure to have a wonderful and exciting year! This is my 6th year to teach at the ELC and I consider it a true blessing. I have enjoyed working with children from as far back as I can remember. I am currently working towards a degree in education. I had planned on being a high school Spanish teacher until I started teaching Pre-K at the ELC. I have enjoyed Pre-K so much that I decided to switch my degree plan to Early Childhood Education. I really can not imagine doing anything else!
I am fortunate enough to be married to my very best friend. My husband Roy and I have five children. We have four daughters: Taylor-20, Natalie-19, Drew-15 and Katherine-9 and one sweet son/answered prayer named Maverick who is 7. We have a sweet, cute and very spoiled Cocker Spaniel named Dolly, who we consider our sixth child. Our family is always on the go. We love taking road trips and also exploring new things around town. We are always happy to check out a new restaurant or dessert place when one comes to town! My family attends 7 City Church and I work in the pre-school class there on Sunday mornings.
When I am not working or studying and I have some time to myself, I enjoy a good workout at the gym. My two favorite classes right now are Body Combat and Body Pump. The gym is a necessity because my other favorite thing to do is bake. I love baking cookies, cakes, brownies, pies.. Really anything that sounds yummy! My most favorite treat that I would love to be able to have every day is a sugar cookie from J. Rae’s. I love those things!! I also love (and collect) shoes and vintage dresses. I can never have too many of either one! I don’t take life too seriously and I love to laugh and be silly.
This is going to be a wonderful year in the Kangaroo class and I look forward to partnering with you!
