Meet Mrs. Amy

Hello!  My name is Amy Hillebrecht and I am so excited to be one of the Owl teachers this year and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our class this year!

I grew up near Houston as the youngest of 3 kids.   I have worked with and adored children my whole life.  At 11 I started babysitting and teaching swim lessons for young children.  At 18 I went to Texas A&M to pursue my degree in Education.  After graduating I moved to Fort Worth where I taught for 9 years before taking some time off to have my children.

My husband and I met playing tennis at Ridglea Tennis Center and have been married for 6 years.  I have a beautiful step-daughter who is 12 and precious 4 year old twins that attend the Pre-K program here at The ELC.  For fun our family loves going to Hawaiian Falls, the Children’s Museums or out for Mexican Food!

Pease do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Meet Mrs. Tymma

Welcome to the Owls!  My name is Tymma TeCulver and I will be teaching with Mrs. Amy in your child’s class this year.  I am so excited to meet your little one.  We are going to learn so many new and wonderful things!

This is my first year teaching at the Early Learning Center but I have been teaching pre-school Sunday school at McKinney Church for the last 14 years.  I have also served in the childcare during the Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Study, serving as interim coordinator this year.  Coming from a large extended family (28 grandkids) I have a lifetime of experience with children. I believe they can learn faster than we can teach them and I am still learning from them.  They just “recharge my batteries”!

I have been married to my husband, Dana, for 17 years.  I have one grown son, David.  I was a single mother for 17 years before God brought my husband and me together. Prior to working at church I was employed with Fidelity Investments for 13 years.  Before that I was a custom home designer in the Colleyville/Southlake area.  And I have several years in restaurant management.

A few other things about me:

  • I love family.

  • I love cooking and especially baking.

  • A great shoe can turn my head

  • Animals have always been a large part of my life.

  • I love to travel and learn about other cultures.

  • My birthday is March 22.

  • Lemon and vanilla are my favorite flavors and scents.

  • I DO NOT drink coffee.  I’m a hot tea drinker.

  • Oh, and I ride a Vespa!

I feel so blessed to be a part of the E.L.C. family and cannot wait to get to know your child better!  I hope that you come to think of me as part of your extended family.  Be sure to share with me any tips that will help me to help your little one.  We are going to have so much fun learning this year!
